One Turkish troop was killed and another was wounded on Sunday when a roadside mine went off in Turkey's southeast.
Security officials said the blast occurred as troops were doing field reconnaissance on Uludere-Sirnak road.
The wounded soldier was rushed to a military hospital in Sirnak.
PKK has been fighting an armed separatist movement since 1984 which has claimed the lives of more than 30,000 people.
