No one was hurt after PKK extremists late Saturday launched a rocket-propelled grenade attack on an airport in Turkey's southeastern Diyarbakir province, according to security sources.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, the sources said the attack in Baglar district caused minor damage at the airport complex.
Flights continued after a momentary pause during the police investigation at the scene, the sources said.
A larger investigation is underway to catch the perpetrators, they added.
The PKK -- listed as a extremist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July last year, since when more than 600 security personnel have been martyred and around 7,000 PKK extremists killed.Güncelleme Tarihi: 28 Ağustos 2016, 10:09
