Five Turkish troops were wounded in a PKK attack in Aricak town of eastern province of Elazig on Monday.

The wounded Turkish troops have been taken to the Elazig Military Hospital in a military helicopter and were reported to be in good condition.

A security operation is underway in the region.

Earlier in the day, two Turkish sergeants were injured in a mine blast in Semdinli town of southeastern province of Hakkari.

The sergeants are receiving medical treatment in a military hospital.
