The explosion, which took place at a natural gas pipeline in Turkey's east on Tuesday, was caused by PKK.
An explosion occurred at the 27th kilometer of Iran-Ankara Botas natural gas pipeline in Dogubayazit town of Turkey's eastern Agri province. Due to the explosion, several work places and houses in the surrounding area were damaged and a fire erupted at the pipeline. Turkey's Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS) shut down the valves.
Agri Governor Ali Yerlikaya said on Wednesday that PKK was behind the explosion in the pipeline.
Yerlikaya noted that nobody was injured in the explosion.
