Members of the PKK staged a rocket attack on local police office and commando unit in southeastern Turkey, injuring eight security officials.

The attack occurred at around 10:00 p.m. on Friday night in Pervari town of the province Siirt.

Five police officers and three troops, who were injured in the attack, were taken to hospitals in Siirt by helicopters.

A full-scale operation is under way in the region to capture terrorists.
