Five soldiers were wounded in an armed attack by PKK while military vehicles were passing by in Yuksekova town of southeastern province of Hakkari on Thursday evening, state-run news agency said.
One of the wounded soldiers was reported to be in serious condition.
The military convoy was heading from Yuksekova to the neighboring town of Semdinli, Anadolu Agency said.
A security operation has been underway in the region after the attack.
Fighting has intensified since the PKK broke a 14-month ceasefire at the start of June, accusing the government of not being serious in its bid to boost Kurdish minority rights and bring to an end an insurgency that began in 1984.
