Acting on a tip, Istanbul police started searching for a car bomb around the Anadolu Courthouse on Thursday, according to police sources.
The police are searching with bomb-sniffing dogs in the courthouse’s parking areas, said the sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on talking to the media.
The courthouse’s parking garage has been sealed off, with no vehicles allowed to leave or enter.
Istanbul's Anadolu Courthouse, which opened in 2013, is the largest public building in Turkey.
