Hampig Sassounian's release demand has been rejected by the Parole Board during Wednesday's hearing.

Sassounian viciously killed Turkey's Consul General in Los Angeles Kemal Arikan in an attack on January 28, 1982.

Turkey's Foreign Ministry stated Thursday that the following release hearing was decided to take place in the next three years of time, and added that Sasuyan's demand was rejected twice back in 2006 and 2010.

It was stressed that the rejection of Sassounian's demand was taken kindly as the decision was to the point of manifestation of justice and principles of “combating terrorism.”
