Turkey's daily Vatan reported that prosecutor Zekeriya Oz may be investigated after the media leaked that claims he took a holiday which cost $40,000.

The Supreme Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK) moved in to investigate reports about senior Turkish prosecutor Zekeriya Oz, who was the coordinator of anti-graft operation on December 17. 

According to Turkey's daily Vatan, the supreme board recorded Monday's reports about Zekeriya Oz. After the file is investigated and accepted by other officials, prosecutor Zekeriya Oz will be investigated. 

Prosecutor Zekeriya Oz is well-known for being the prosecutor in the Ergenekon case, which saw the sentencing of a number of military officials on charges of plotting to overthrow the government.

He is also the coordinator of the corruption and bribery probe that started on December 17 and saw the arrest of two dozen high-profile bureaucrats, politicians and businessmen, including the sons of two former cabinet ministers and the general manager of Halkbank.

Turkey's daily Sabah newspaper reported on Monday that the prosecutor took a holiday in Dubai with another 11 people which cost $40,000.

The paper claimed that the bill of the holiday was paid for by a famous businesman.
