The solution process, an initiative to end PKK violence, scaled down terror related cases undertaken by state prosecutors by 40 percent compared to the same period last year, according to reports compiled by an AA correspondent.

State prosecution offices in Adana had opened 30 investigations after Newroz celebrations last year while the same prosecuting body opened only one case this year. The investigations initated by Malatya and Diyarbakir's public prosecutors during the solution process largely contain unknown assailants. Authorities disclosed that terror related investigations decreased by 40 percent during the last 8 months and underlined a better atmosphere also affected this area as well.

Adana, Malatya, and Diyarbakir state prosecutors launch investigations within the scope of anti-terror law. Twenty state prosecutors and 3 assistant attorney generals are responsible of 22 various provinces such as Diyarbakir, Tunceli, Sirnak, and Batman gripped by terror activities to a great extent. State prosecutors are still investigating 15 thousands cases in total, which contain substantive lawsuits like Reyhanli and Cilvegozu attacks and Malatya murders.
