Board chairman of Turkish Airlines, Hamdi Topçu, has announced his resignation on Monday, Turkish Airlines said in a statement.
No details were given about the decision. Topçu will run for parliament as a member of the ruling Justice and Development Party in the elections to be held on June 7.
According to some reports, Topçu will be replaced by İlker Aycı as Board Chairman of Turkish Airlines. Aycı currently chairs the Prime Ministry Investment Support and Promotion Agency.
