Turkey-Africa Media Forum begins in Ankara

'Turkey-Africa Media Forum' hosted by Turkish General Directorate of Press and Information will begin in Ankara on Wednesday.

The two-day forum will take place under the auspices of Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc. The forum is expected to bring together 250 media members from Turkey and 54 African Union countries.      

First-day sessions of the forum will cover Africa in the Turkish foreign policy and Turkish media; Africa Nowadays: Politics, Economics and Foreign Policy; Media's education in development, immigration, environment and health; Media and its negotiation: Winning against conflicts and terrorism; Social media in Turkey and African countries; Social media and its power on improving democratic culture; non-governmental organizations role on problems and opportunities.      

On the second day of the forum, the participants will cover Turkey and Africa: Media, Communications and Technology; Cooperation between Turkish and African media organizations; Future of commercial and economic relations between Turkey and Africa and media's effective attendance to the process; Culture, Sports and Art as common values.
