Turkey will showcase around 1,400 books at a book fair in the Iranian capital Tehran, Turkey's culture ministry said on Saturday.
Turkey will take part at the 23rd Tehran International Book Fair, one of Iran's leading cultural events, to be held from May 5 to 15.
The ministry said in a statement that books to be showcased at the Turkish pavilion would be donated to Iran's national library, Iranian universities and cultural centers within the scope of ministry's project "Turkish library to every country in the world."
The ministry will also hand out 1,500 books --printed in Turkish and English to promote Turkish culture, art, history and literature-- to visitors during the book fair.
The First Tehran International Book Fair was launched in 1987 and was welcomed by those interested in book and study.
