The military often uses the term neutralized to refer to the killing of PKK extremists.
According to the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media, a weapons depot was also destroyed in the drone airstrike in the province’s Yuksekova district.
The number of the extremists 'neutralized' since Aug. 4 across Hakkari was now 307, the source added.
The province has seen broad anti-extremist operations since the PKK - listed as a extremist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and the EU - resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July last year.
Since then, PKK extremist attacks martyred more than 600 security personnel and also claimed the lives of many civilians, including women and children, while more than 7,000 PKK extremists were killed in army operations.
