A delegation from Scientific & Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) attended Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF 2010) in Torino, Italy.
TUBITAK executives, young researchers, academicians and students who won prizes in science olympics and project contests participated in the forum which is the most important science activity of Europe.
Nearly 1,000 scientists from 80 countries will display their researches during the forum which will last for one week.
During the forum, TUBITAK executives launched necessary initiatives to host the next ESOF in Turkey.
TUBITAK Chairperson Nuket Yetis told A.A on Saturday that ESOF was one of the most important activities which was held for scientists and business world in Europe.
Yetis noted that ESOF was previously held in Stockholm, Munich and Barcelona.
ESOF was firstly organized in 2004. It is held once in every two years, and is an independent platform in science and technology area.
ESOF 2010 began in Italy on Friday with the slogan "science is in the air", and it will end on July 7.
