Turkish military killed a total of 46 PKK militants during operations over the past one month in southeast part of the country.
The number of militants killed in operations in last six months reached 187, military sources said.
Turkish military started using Cobra helicopters and Heron unmanned aerial vehicles after rising casual PKK attacks followed by a recent order --from Mounth Qandil in the north of Iraq where PKK heads are located-- to escalate attacks.
Turkey has been fighting PKK over the past 26 years. Turkey has launched several cross border operations into the north of Iraq in the past to destroy their mountain camps there. PKK uses the region as a launchpad for its attacks inside Turkey.
More than 160 militants surrendered to Turkish soldiers over the past six months, sources said.
