Turkey's Ethiopian-descent track and field athlete Meryem Erdogan broke European record with 31:55.53 in Under-23 category in Ten Thousand Meters European Cup.

Erdogan broke Russian Tatyana Petrova's old record at 32:17.49.

Erdogan finished the race at the fourth place as Portugal's Ines Monteiro claimed the top place with 31:13.58.
