Turkey's defending champions Bursapor have signed U.S. national team striker Jozy Altidore from Spanish side Villareal on a six-month loan.
22-year-old player came to Bursa on Tuesday to sign the official contract.
At his arrival in Bursa, Altidore told reporters that he joined Turkish side as he wanted to play in Champions League this year.
"last year, Villareal could not make to the Champions League. And I want to compete in this league," he said.
Later in the day, Altidore will appear at a ceremony where he will sign a contract.
Bursaspor's Altidore move came shortly after recent transfer of Scotland striker Kenny Miller from Glasgow Rangers as Bursa side looks to build up the team and win the second consecutive Super Toto Super League title this year.
