Turkey’s IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation will make a list of orphans from the Soma mine tragedy, the IHH chairman announced on Tuesday.

“We will do our part to help the orphans receive education, as far as university, and we will continue to stay in touch with them until they get married and find a good job,” IHH chairman Bulent Yildirim said.

IHH continues to deliver humanitarian aid to families hit by massive flooding in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

IHH teams have distributed aid packages with cooking oil, rice, beans, sugar, macaroni, flour, soap and detergent to affected families.

The worst and deadliest floods recorded in the Balkans in the past 120 years followed extremely heavy rainfall.

The death toll reported by Anadolu Agency teams in the region has risen to 35, while tens of thousands of people have been evacuated in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia. Both countries have called for international assistance.
