The Turkish Parliament's Committee for National Education, Culture, Youth and Sports has approved a draft law that covers several new regulations about private tutoring centers or 'dershanes'.
The Turkish Parliament's Committee for National Education, Culture, Youth and Sports has approved a draft law that covers several new regulations about private tutoring centers or 'dershanes'.
The private tutoring [dershanes] and study centers will continue their activities till September 2015. The centers will then be converted into private schools.
The staff at the tutoring centers can become teachers at state schools if they pass an oral test.
Meanwhile, Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan reaffirmed on Saturday that the government will close all private tutoring centers and convert them into conventional private schools.
