Turkish engineers have manufactured unmanned sea surface vehicle.
Turkey's Global Teknik company's engineers completed the project on unmanned sea vehicle that was launched 4 years ago with support of Turkish Scientific and Research Council (TUBITAK).
The project cost 3 million U.S. dollars.
Hakan Karalar, chairperson of the executive board of Global Teknik, told the AA on Friday that unmanned sea surface vehicle was 4 meters long and its speed reached 30 knots.
The vehicle has radar, sonar, underwater camera and light machine gun, he said.
"There is a busy traffic at our straits and coasts. Every sort of vehicle on sea surface can be followed by unmanned sea surface vehicle. It will be used in the areas of fight against smuggling, lifesaving, combating illicit drug smuggling, sea traffic control, intelligence and surveillance," he said.
