The truck which was stopped on January 1 at the Turkish-Syrian border on suspicion that it was carrying arms to the Syrian opposition was indeed delivering humanitarian aid to Turkmens in need of help in Syria, said Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
Speaking in a televised interview on Tuesday evening, Davutoglu said Turkey was shown as supporting radical groups in Syria, which he said was a baseless accusation.
"The truck was carrying humanitarian aid," the minister reiterated. "All the required procedures were completed."
"Not everything can be revealed and sometimes a ministry may not know what the other ministry is doing due to security measures," Davutoglu added.Güncelleme Tarihi: 08 Ocak 2014, 11:24
