The Turkish army destroyed 11 PKK positions in airstrikes against the terrorist group in northern Iraq, the military said late Friday.

According to a statement issued by the Turkish General Staff, fighter jets carried out the airstrikes in the Qandil region on Friday between 6.58-7.55 pm (1558-1655GMT).

Since then, more than 300 civilians, including women and children, and nearly 800 security personnel have been killed. Around 8,000 PKK terrorists have been killed or apprehended.
