Turkish military jet crashes in Izmir

A military training jet crashed near Gorece village of Menemen town after it took off from the Cigli Air Base in western province of Izmir on Tuesday.

Speaking to the AA, the sub-governor of Menemen, Turgut Subasi, said that the military jet crashed near Gorece village and the flight instructor and the cadet survived the crash with injuries.

They were taken to the Aegean University's Medical Faculty Hospital and that an investigation was underway regarding the plane crash, Subasi said.
