Turkish people continue protests to support Egypt, Syria

World Bulletin / News Desk

Thousands of Turkish people hold on Sunday evening a huge demonstration in Sarachane Park of Turkey's Istanbul city to protest the massacre in Egypt against anti-coup demonstrators and the recent chemical weapons attack in the Syrian capital of Damascus.

Organized by Human and Civilization Movement and some other NGOs, protesters are gathering in Istanbul's Sarachane Park for the rally to take the world's attention to the massacres in Syria and Egypt.

Organizers of the protest reminded that a signature campaign was launched to change the name of Sarachane Park into "Adawiya Square of Freedom," and announced that they will make an official appeal to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality to name the street of the Egyptian Consulate General in Istanbul as "Asma al-Beltagi."
