Three police officers were killed and 23 others were injured when a bus carrying Turkish riot police overturned on early Monday.
The bus was traveling between Ankara, the Turkish capital, and Kayseri province, in the center of the country.
The bus, owned by the Kayseri Police Department, overturned at the entrance of the Mucur district of Kirsehir on the highway between Kirsehir and Kayseri.
The injured were transferred to nearby hospitals.
"All of the injured police officers are at the hospital," Kirsehir Governor Ozdemir Cakacak told The Anadolu Agency. "Unfortunately three of them are in critical condition."
