Turkish wrestler Rıza Kayaalp won the gold medal in men's Greco-Roman 120 kg weight category in the in European Wrestling Championship in Baku on Sunday.

Turkish wrestler Rıza Kayaalp won the gold medal in men's Greco-Roman 120 kg weight category in the in European Wrestling Championship in Baku on Sunday.
 

Turkish wrestler Nazmi Avluca also won the gold medal in men's Greco-Roman 84 kg weight category in the in European Wrestling Championship in Baku on Sunday.

Rıza Kayaalp who advanced to the second round without a match defeated Bulgar Ivan Stoyanov Ivanov with (2-0) in the second round, Gerogian Dimitri Javakhishvili (2-0) in third round and Lithuanian Mizgaitis Mindaugas (2-0) in the group final and advanced to the final.

Kayaalp who faced Serbian Radomir Petkovic in the final round defeated his oponent 2-0 and won the gold medal.

Another Turkish wrestler won a bronze medal in Greco-Roman 96kg category.

Nazmi Avluca who won the gold medal in 84 kg was chosen the "best wrestler of the championship" and was awarded with the special ring of International Wrestling Association-FILA.
