The Abu Dhabi Health Authority confirmed it is working with the Ministry of Health and other UAE authorities and “has taken the necessary measures as per the international standards and recommendations of the World Health Organization,” to control the situation.

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that includes viruses that may cause a range of illnesses in humans, from the common cold to SARS. Human coronaviruses usually cause mild to moderate upper-respiratory tract illnesses of short duration. Symptoms may include runny nose, cough, sore throat, and fever. These viruses can sometimes cause lower-respiratory tract illnesses, such as pneumonia. There are currently no vaccines available to protect against human coronavirus infection.
