Two separate bomb attacks on Friday in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk killed five soldiers and injured 8 others and two civilians.
Local police chief Amid Serhad Qadir confirmed the death of four soldiers and added that eight others were wounded in the attack.
In the other bomb attack on a Kirkuk checkpoint, one soldier was killed and two others were injured.
Gunmen attacked a police checkpoint in Iraq on Friday, killing two police officers, security sources said.
The attack took place in Ratba town of Al-Anbar province.
In a separate incident, two civilians were seriously injured in a bomb attack in Fallujah.
