A bomb exploded under a civilian car, killing a man and his wife in southern Baghdad, police captain Nazhan al-Khedr said.
He said two other people were injured and seven others injured in a bomb explosion near a marketplace in al-Madaen, south of Baghdad.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks.
In recent months, devastating bombings -- often featuring explosive-laden vehicles -- have become commonplace in Iraq’s violence-prone capital.
