The President of the Al-Arabiya Block in the Kirkuk Parliament, Abdullah Sami el-Asi, was killed in an armed attack on Monday.
The Police chief in Kirkuk Serhat Kadir stated that el-Asi was attacked by an unidentified group of men at 15:45 Iraqi local time which killed el-Asi and two of his security guards. He added an armed men escaped the scene following the attack.
