Iraqi President Jalal Talabani has said that Iraq faces dangers which may cause fatal results.

Talabani noted that as Iraq was going through a dangerous period, they were on the verge of a civil war and on a written statement to Irbil he said, "Conflict and tension in Iraq cause an insecure medium and unrealistic targets between political powers. More importantly, we receive signals of sides bringing up unions by being on a power trip and then using these unions against each other. These developments do not only carry risks for the political process but also threaten the serenity and stability in the country, moreover cause fatal results."

Since November 16, the political crisis and tension between Baghdad and Irbil brought the country to the verge of a civil war. After the conflicts took place between Iraqi army and Peshmerga forces, several people were killed and many others were wounded.
