Rebels from the self-styled 'Islamic State' (IS) militant group in Syria are using the same 'enhanced interrogation' methods on captives as the American secret service CIA, reports have claimed.
Both the Washington Post and AFP claimed that IS fighters used a method called 'waterboarding' on executed US journalist James Foley and other captives.
The Washington Post stated that captives were waterboarded a number of times by people who 'knew exactly how it was done.'
The method, which was commonly used by the CIA on terror suspects during George W. Bush's reign, consists of simulated drowning and is by many considered to amount to torture.Güncelleme Tarihi: 29 Ağustos 2014, 17:59
