An Iraqi child was killed and a police officer wounded on Sunday in separate attacks by rebels on two polling stations in the northern city of Kirkuk, a security source said.
The source said unidentified militants opened gunfire on a polling station in Kirkuk city, killing a child who was passing by at the time of the attack.
"Unidentified militants also attacked a polling station in Al-Nasr district and fled the scene, leaving a police officer wounded," added the source.
Anadolu Agency could not immediately obtain comments from Iraqi authorities on the two incidents.
Ten people were killed and six others were injured in an attack on a polling station in southern Kirkuk a few days ago.
Around 20 million Iraqis are expected to cast their ballot on Wednesday to select 328 lawmakers.
