ISIL attacks kill 37 in Iraq

Thirty-seven people were killed Saturday in Iraq in a string of terrorist attacks on security forces by ISIL.

Ismail al-Mihlavi, Anbar operations commander of the Iraq, army, told Anadolu Agency that ISIL launched an offensive on three army headquarters in Ramadi city with bomb-laden vehicles.

Al-Mihlavi said the militant group later started gunfire. Twenty-three soldiers were killed during the attacks, while security forces killed 33 ISIL militants with air support by U.S.-led coalition forces.

In a separate attack in Fallujah city of Anbar province, 14 people were killed by a ISIL suicide bomber launching an attack with bomb-laden car on a headquarters of the Iraqi army and al-Hashd al-Shaabi, an umbrella organization of Shia militia.
