A delegation from Iraq's Kurdish government in the country's north arrived in capital Baghdad on Sunday to negotiate budget and oil export issues, Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) spokesperson said.
Safeen Dizayee said that the delegation led by KRG's prime minister, Nechirvan Barzani, will discuss to end rows with Baghdad on the exportation of northern Iraqi oil via Turkey and the central budget which was passed without seeking the approval of the KRG.
Dizayee reiterated that both parties had met last month to discuss the same agenda, adding KRG's willingness to end strifes through dialogue.
On January 2, Turkey's Energy Minister Taner Yildiz announced that crude oil from northern Iraq had started flowing to Turkey's Mediterranean export hub in Ceyhan.
The oil, however, remains in containers and is yet to leave Turkish shores, as the central government in Iraq and KRG are yet to agree on a deal as to the export medium of the northern Iraqi oil.Güncelleme Tarihi: 19 Ocak 2014, 11:48
