Nechirvan Barzani, head of the regional administration in the north of Iraq, said that they favored dialogue to solve problems with Baghdad administration.
Talks will continue within that scope, said Barzani, releasing a statement after a meeting on Friday.
Barzani defined the visit of Kurdish delegation to Baghdad and resuming the talks as "a positive step and a good start", noting that resuming the talks was a result of initiatives launched by President Jalal Talabani before he got sick.
Barzani said that they believed all problems could be solved through dialogue, adding that they would pursue their peaceful attitude, but nothing much should be expected from the talks.
Last month, one person was killed and 10 others were wounded in a clash between Tigris units of Premier Maliki and the forces of the regional administration in the north of Iraq, which escalated the tension between the sides.
