3,700 people in total from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia will travel to the holy lands this year to become hadji.

Macedonia is the country that sends the highest number of Muslims to the holy lands this year.

While 2000 hajj pilgrims will travel to region from Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina is behind Macedonia with 1,200 people.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency, Rasim Brkovic, the secretary of Bosnia-Herzigovina's Islamic Unity on Hajj, said Wednesday that there was an increase on the number of people who travel to Saudi Arabia from Bosnia-Herzegovina this term.

Brkovic said that nearly 200 more people would travel to the region compared to the last year.

While 229 people are going to travel to the holy lands from Serbia, 28 people from Montenegro and 40 people from Croatia will go to the region to become hadji.
