Hundreds of thousands of Muslims have flocked to the holiest site in Islam, the Ka’bah in Mecca, to perform their Friday prayers during the pilgrimage season.

Due to construction works currently taking place in the area, pilgrims struggled to enter the vicinity of the Ka’bah as streets in the surrounding area became filled with worshippers.
