A large but deep 6.9 magnitude quake struck a largely rural area in northern Argentina, the U.S. Geological Survey said on Saturday.
The quake was 95 miles (150 km) northeast of the town of Santiago del Estero at a depth of 350 miles (563 km). There were no immediate reports of damage.
