GIANT STEP BY TURKEY FOR BALKAN PEACE
Turkey took a giant step for peace in the Balkans on Wednesday. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met with his Bosnian and Croatian counterparts in Ankara on Wednesday. Following the trilateral meeting, Bosnian and Croatian ministers said that "had it not been for Turkey, we could not see the day of peace in the Balkans".

BSH: WE MADE INVESTMENTS WORTH 67 MILLION TL IN TURKEY IN 2009
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BSH Home Appliances Corporation, Norbert Klein, said that his company made investments worth 67 million TL in Turkey in 2009, the year of global financial crisis. "Our investments in Turkey last year are a symbol of our confidence in the Turkish market," Klein said.

PRICE OF RED MEAT TO GO DOWN ON WEEKEND
After the Turkish government permitted the import of red meat, the price of red meat in Turkey is expected to go down significantly over the weekend. Most butchers have already reduced the price of red meat from 25 TL per kilogram to 20 TL.

FORD OTOSAN'S PRODUCTION INCREASED 148 P.C. IN FIRST QUARTER
Ford Otosan's production in the first quarter of 2010 increased 148 percent when compared to the same term last year.
In a written press release issued Wednesday, Ford Otosan said that the company produced 49,083 motor vehicles in the first quarter of 2010. Ford Otosan's exports in the first quarter of 2010 increased by 116 percent when compared to the same period last year. The company exported 38,020 motor vehicles in the first quarter of 2010. Ford Otosan's profits in the first quarter of 2010 were worth 93 million liras.

FIDELITY TO SEPTEMBER 12 COUP
Deputies of the opposition who declared themselves victims of the September 12 military coup, did not find the heart to touch the Article 15 of the Constitution, which protects the putschists.
In the historical voting the opposition said, "the putschists are evil, but their constitution is good."
In the voting opposition parties swung back, Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) voted against the annulment of the article protecting putschists. Republican People's Party (CHP) and Democratic Society Part (BDP) did not attend the voting. The amendment was adopted with 336 votes.

VILLAINOUS ATTACK IN SEMDINLI
Terrorists opened fire on troops in the Habesti plateau of the Semdinli district of Hakkari. Specialised Sergeant Erkan Ayaz and Private Selman Ozay were killed. Two soldiers who were wounded in the villainous attack, were transferred to hospital with a helicopter.

CHP WILL APPEAL TO CONSTITUTONAL COURT IF GUL APPROVES THE AMENDMENT BILL
Central Executive Board of the Republican People's Party (CHP) discussed the constitutional amendment package Wednesday in Ankara.
Baykal said, "We will carry the package to the Constitutional Court, if it is approved by the President. Finding the required 110 signatures is no problem for us."

The serial killer who killed two young girls and a transvestite, each with a single shot in the head in Izmir, was caught in Bodrum as he was getting ready to kill his fourth victim. The serial killer Hamdi Ayri, who caused terror in Izmir, gave himself away when he sold the cell phone he got from his last victim. The police which identified the villain, raided the hotel he was staying and caught him. The police analysis revealed that pistol seized on him was used in all three murders.

OPPOSITION INSISTENT ON TRANSPARENCY IN VOTING
Upon allegations that votes of the Justice and Development (AK) Party deputies were controlled and checked during the secret voting of the constitutional amendment package, Republican People's Party filed a complaint to Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Sahin. Sahin told CHP that he would call deputies one by one to the ballot booth if necessary in the second round.
AK Party Group Chairman Mustafa Elitas argued that the secrecy was preserved during the voting. "These are fabricated by CHP. The second round will be held the same way," said Elitas.

TWO SOLDIERS KILLED IN SEMDINLI
Terrorists opened fire on troops patrolling the rural areas in the Semdinli district of Hakkari. Specialised Sergeant Erkan Ayaz and Private Selman Ozay were killed and two other soldiers were wounded. A wide scale operation was launched in the region with support from air units. Thousands of soldiers were dispatched to the border, while a special team crossed the border in to the North of Iraq to pursue the terrorists.

NO PARDON FOR CHILDREN
The proposal of Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) chairman Devlet Bahceli to offer a general pardon for children in prisons was not accepted at the Turkish Parliamentary Judicial Committee. The Committee is making preparations to reduce prison terms for children committing certain crimes.

TWO MORE MARTYRS
PKK terrorists sprayed bullets on Turkish troops conducting a search operation in Semdinli town of south-eastern province of Hakkari on Wednesday. Sergeant Erkan Ayaz and Private Selman Ozay were killed in the incident while two other privates were injured.

3 HIGH LEVEL EXECUTIVES OF ERICSSON KILLED IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT
Three high level executives of Ericsson were killed in a traffic accident on Wednesday. Ericsson Turkey's Sales Director Bekir Volkan Koksal (37), Business Development executive Bahadir Asar (37) and financial executive Ali Uncu died when their luxury automobile hit a truck around Gerede town of north-western province of Bolu. The three died at the scene of the traffic accident.

TPAO CALLS ON PRIVATE SECTOR TO SEARCH FOR OIL IN SOUTH-EASTERN TURKEY
Turkish Petroleum Corporation has called on the private sector to search for oil in south-eastern Turkey. Director General of TPAO Mehmet Uysal said that there are many fields in south-eastern Turkey where oil and natural gas have not been searched yet. I call on all Turkish investors to come to south-eastern Turkey and search for oil, Uysal said.

RIGHT AFTER HE PULLED THE TRIGGER
Waiter Hamdi Ayri(27), who killed three victims with headshot three nights in a row in Izmir, was caught in Bodrum.
The Police caught Ayri in a boarding house room while he was asleep. He said he murdered the three victims --whom he was not acquainted with-- for money. He said he came to Bodrum to find and kill his ex-girlfriend, whom, he said, used and dumped him.
Ayri who was born in Tunceli and has no criminal record. He took the gun last week from a restaurant. After the third murder, Ayri called his sibling with the cell phone he stole from his second victim, which made things easier for tne police to track him down. A footage captured with a surveillance camera right after the third murder, helped the police identify the killer.

TWO SOLDIERS KILLED IN SEMDINLI
A group of PKK terrorists opened fire on troops based in a military outpost near the border. Specialised Sergeant Erkan Ayaz and Private Selman Ozay were killed. Ozay's father burst into tears as he said, "I served in the same outpost back in 1985. But he was destined to die there, instead of me."

HE KILLS 3 INNOCENT INDIVIDUALS FOR 1,000 TL
Serial killer Hamdi Ayri, who killed three individuals in only three days, was arrested in Bodrum town on Wednesday. Speaking to police officers, Ayri said that he killed as he was out of money. Police found 600 TL and 200 euros on Ayri.

GENERALS AT ANATOLIAN EAGLE
The annual Anatolian Eagle military exercise's 2010 program has begun. The military exercise took place on a national level and was attended by the Chief of Turkish General Staff Gen. Ilker Basbug and other commanders.
