Many Turkish dailies covered the reactions against the United Nations which could not assume an attitude over the chemical attack in Syria which killed over 1,000 people and left many others wounded near the capital Damascus. "UN still watching the massacre" titled Daily RADIKAL by saying that there was no investigation on the claims of the use of chemical weapons in Syria. Daily MILLIYET headlined "UN serves no purpose" and cited Husetin Celik, Spokesman of Turkey's Justice and Development (AK) Party, as stating "We must ask what purpose the UN serves." "Scandal of UN" titled Daily VATAN, adding that the UN could not even arrive at the decision to investigate the massacre in Syria.

Daily STAR quoted Erdogan as saying "I saw my daughter in Asma," and published that PM Erdogan broke into tears while listening to the letter written by al-Beltagi for his killed daughter Asma. Some dailies covered the match results of Turkey's Besiktas and Trabzonspor, which took on Tromso of Norway and Albania's FC Kukesi respectively in the first leg of the play-off tour of the UEFA Europa League.
Daily SABAH titled "Storm rises, Eagle freezes" and published that Tromso of Norway defeated Besiktas of Turkey 2-1 while Trabzonspor defeated FK Kukesi 2-0.
