TURKISH PRESS REVIEW ON DEC 13

Turkish dailies on Thursday covered the forensic investigation into the death of Turkey's eighth president, Turgut Ozal and the launch of 112 separate projects announced by Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The Anadolu Agency does not verify these stories and does not vouch for their accuracy.

Most of the Turkish dailies covered a forensic investigation into the death of Turkey's eighth President Turgut Ozal. Daily RADIKAL quoted Turkish Forensic Medicine Institute and headlined, "He did not die because of a heart attack."

Daily stated that Turkish Forensic Medicine Institute's 380-page report said, "Traces of toxic materials have been found in Ozal's body did not cause of his death", more the paper added that the report confused minds as it also said that Ozal did not die because of a heart attack. Doubts continue on Ozal's death.

Another topic which was covered by most of the Turkish dailies was the launch of 112 separate public projects worth 16 billion Turkish Liras (approximately 9 billion USD) in total. On December 12, 2012, a unique day for most of the people all around the world, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan inaugurated 112 separate public projects including hydroelectric plants, dams, irrigation and water systems and flood prevention facilities.
