Turkish dailies on Tuesday covered the Shab-i Arus celebrations in Turkey's central province of Konya and the record tender bid given to privatize Turkey's roads and bridges. The Anadolu Agency does not verify these stories and does not vouch for their accuracy.
Most of the Turkish dailies covered the Shab-i Arus celebrations in central province of Konya. A Seb-i Arus ceremony took place in the central Anatolian province of Konya in order to commemorate Jalal al-Din Rumi. The ceremony took place at the Mevlana Culture Center and was attended by many dignitaries including the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and leader of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu as well as local and foreign businessmen and guests.
Another topic which was covered by most of the Turkish dailies was the record bid given to tender for privatization of Turkey's highways and bridges. Consortium formed by two Turkish industry giants, Koc Holding and Ulker (Gozde Girisim) and a Malaysian firm of UEM Group won the tender for the privatization of Turkey's roads and bridges with a bid of 5.72 billion USD.
