Almost all Turkish newspapers covered the 4th Regular Congress of Turkey's ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's speech at the congress. Delegates of Turkey's ruling AK Party on Sunday re-elected Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the third time as chairman on Sunday. Mainly, Turkish dailies covered Erdogan's comments over the Kurdish issue and leaders of the region who attended the congress in Ankara.
Daily ZAMAN covered the official declaration over the rise in natural gas prices. Natural gas prices went up 9.8 percent, the daily ZAMAN stated and said that hike on electricity prices will be pronounced on Monday, as of October 1.
Lastly, Turkish daily CUMHURIYET covered the animal law protests which took place on Sunday in Istanbul and some other cities all around Turkey. Protestors raised their voice for being against the plans over the changes in the Animal protection law.
