All Turkish dailies covered on their Thursday editions the Syrian passenger plane which was forced to land in Ankara's Esenboga International Airport on Wednesday. Daily MILLIYET headlined "America warns, Turkish F-16s force it to land" and published that the information received from U.S. that the Syrian passenger plane which was en route to Damascus from Moscow was not carrying suitable cargo according to civil aviation rules and regulations. Later the plane was forced to land in Ankara Esenboga International Airport and was searched.
Another topic which was covered mainly by Turkish dailies was Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's meeting with Brazilian football player Alex de Souza. Daily YENI SAFAK published that Brazilian football player whose contract was terminated with Fenerbahce soccer club and was planning to leave Turkey on Friday paid a visit to Turkish PM Erdogan with his wife in Istanbul. According to Turkish dailies, Erdogan told Alex that they would come together again and the football player agreed with Turkish pm.
Lastly, Turkish dailies covered the Chief of Turkish General Staff General Necdet Ozel's visit to Omer Timucin who lost his spouse and three children when a Syrian shell landed on Akcakale town on October 3. Many Turkish dailies covered Ozel's vows which was, "If they (Syria) continue with their attacks, we will reply more severely."
