All Turkish dailies covered on their Friday editions the statements of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Syrian passenger plane which was forced to land in Ankara's Esenboga International Airport on Wednesday. Daily YENI SAFAK headlined "First take off from Russian military base" and published that the Syrian passenger plane which was en route to Damascus from Moscow was actually took off from a Russian base after being loaded by ammunitions and then landed at Moscow. Cargos in the plane were labeled 'To Syrian Defense Ministry' and Turkey gave diplomatic note to Syria.
Another topic which was covered mainly by Turkish dailies was the military reinforcement at the Turkish-Syrian border. Daily HURRIYET published that 250 tanks and 55 F-16s were deployed at the border. According to Turkish dailies, Turkey activated Kurecik missile shield for a possible missile attack from Syria.
