Three policemen were killed in an attack in the northeastern Egyptian province of Ismailia in the early hours of Wednesday, a security source said.
"A truck without plate numbers carrying unidentified gunmen intercepted a police car in Sabaa Abaar area before the gunmen showered the car with bullets, leaving a police officer and two conscripts inside dead," a source told Anadolu Agency.
A manhunt has immediately been launched to pursue the perpetrators, the source added.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, which was the latest in an ongoing series of attacks on security personnel since the army ousted elected president Mohamed Morsi last July.Last Mod: 12 Şubat 2014, 11:09
