Three suspected Al-Qaeda rebels were killed early on Sunday during an attack on a security checkpoint in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, a security source said.
"The three were killed and a fourth wounded in an attack on a security checkpoint near the presidential headquarters," the source added.
He said a man, who is yet to be identified, was also killed while passing near the checkpoint at the time of the attack.
The Ministry of the Interior said none of the soldiers manning the checkpoint was harmed.
The Ministry of Defense, meanwhile, said Sunday that it had destroyed a large amount of explosives, mortars and mines seized at places where "terrorists" were hiding in Al-Mahfad District in the southern province of Abyan.Güncelleme Tarihi: 11 Mayıs 2014, 11:30
