The leader of the 1948 Palestinian Islamic Movement, Raid Salah on Saturday said that the raid on Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa by the Israeli Police on Friday was "a rehearsal for future occupation."

Speaking at a press conference in Jerusalem on Saturday, Raid Salah indicated that "Friday's raid was not just causing injuries and arresting individuals. It was a rehearsal for future occupation of the mosque by Israel."
